This is probably not generally truthful or relevant to unique scenarios, but usually such kinds are termed bachelors or playboys. A risk is "gentleman Pal", which I've listened to used in very similar predicaments. It does not alway capture the distinction amongst "boy Close friend" and "boyfriend", but context can frequently make clear this. "H
